GLERUS LLP publishes CheckoutRISK, an Android app for estimating real checkout prices, discounts, taxes, deposits, fees and basket totals. This policy applies to the CheckoutRISK app and the official CheckoutRISK pages on glerus.org.
CheckoutRISK does not require a user account. It is a calculator and educational tool, not a store, payment processor, bank, lender, broker or financial adviser.
Prices, discounts, taxes, deposits, fees, basket items and scenario values are used to perform calculations on the device. They are not intended to be sent to GLERUS to use the core calculator.
The app may store local preferences such as selected language and currency on the device so that the interface can remember them between sessions.
CheckoutRISK is designed around local calculation. Removing the app or clearing its app data through Android may remove locally stored preferences.
Please avoid entering sensitive personal information into free-text fields, if any are added in future versions.
At the time of this policy, CheckoutRISK itself is designed around local calculation and does not require third-party advertising or in-app analytics operated by GLERUS to perform its core function.
The glerus.org website may use analytics cookies only after consent. Cookie choices are stored so that the site can remember whether analytics cookies were accepted or rejected.
If you install CheckoutRISK through Google Play, Google may process information according to Google Play and Google account policies. GLERUS does not control Google Play account, purchase or device-level processing.
The app may use standard Android platform functionality needed for installation, updates and operation.
GLERUS does not sell personal data from CheckoutRISK. App inputs used for calculations are intended to remain local unless a future feature clearly explains otherwise and asks for appropriate permission or consent.

CheckoutRISK is intended as a general educational utility about checkout prices and shopping arithmetic. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly request personal information from children.
